UX/UI designer on HM Courts & Tribunal Service proof of concept project

The brief
Worked on a three month proof of concept project for HMCTS. The project was to redesign the interface for the internal audit and fraud system. This system records all users interactions with case material from the UK courts system

Had several planning meetings with the business to gathered insight into the current user journey and pain points.

Designing a solution

Through workshops with the business we discoveered we needed users needed to be able to search by a Case ID and a User ID.

I then designed the search page where the user inputs all relevent information.

Problem: Search period
A search could be querying several hundred million files. This could take between several minutes to several hours.

Solution
Create a search history page listing all searches results and email notification when search is completed meaning user can close the browser window.
